WHAT IS A CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers!

Our CSA is a weekly farm share or subscription of sustainably grown farm fresh products. Our farm benefits from offering a CSA in many ways. We are able to extend our growing season beyond our fall harvest which also allows us to employee many of our team members year-round. Customers enjoy our CSA because they are encouraged to eat seasonally and enjoy the benefits of fresh and local foods!

 
 

HOW OURS WORKS

We work all season preparing, seeding, planting, & harvesting in order to make this program possible.


WHEN & HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM RUN?

Our CSA program runs for 12 consecutive weeks, Friday, November 8th until Friday, January 24th. Emails will be sent weekly for reminders and information.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Follow the instructions in the section below labeled “Cost and Ordering Information.” You will complete a brief application and select payment method via Google Forms.


HOW MUCH FOOD COMES IN EACH BOX?

CSA subscription’s receive fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, usually 6 or more items per box, every week. Weekly boxes normally support a 4 person household. We strive to create a box that you’re able to enjoy during a weeks+ time. Fortunately, a lot of our items have an adequate shelf-life during this season. However, we encourage you to consider the volume and entertain the idea of splitting your weekly box with a neighbor/friend if this amount would be too much.

Items you may see in your box can include any of the following:

Apples
Arugula
Beets
Broccoli
Brussels Sprouts
Cabbage
Carrots
Cauliflower

Cooking Pumpkins
Dried Beans
Eggs
Fall Squashes
Greens
Herbs
Kohlrabi

Lettuce
Pears
Radishes
Romanesco
Spinach
Sweet Potatoes
Swiss Chard
Turnips

WHEN WILL MY BOX BE READY?

All boxes will be available for pick-up no earlier than 12pm on Fridays until the following Monday. Please be sure to pick up the box with YOUR name on it. If you are sending someone else to pick up your box, please make them aware of this system. Any boxes not picked up by Monday evening will be donated to the local food bank.


WHERE DO I PICK UP MY BOX?

CSA Boxes must be picked up at our Roadside Market. 22645 Kings Highway Warsaw, VA 22572.

Please note there will be NO deliveries.

Boxes will either be located under the breezeway or in the walk-in cooler behind our roadside market. Location will depend on weather conditions. Pull behind the Roadside Market and you will see the breezeway and the labeled walk-in cooler. The Roadside Market breezeway and the cooler are both well-lit areas for those picking up after dark. Pick Hours- anytime between Noon Friday through Monday evening.

Also, we welcome you to return your empty boxes each week. Place your empty box into the bin along the wall.


COST & ORDERING INFORMATION

Program cost is $360 for the 12-week subscription.


HOW DO I APPLY for THE PROGRAM?

Click the button below to complete the online application via our Google form, or stop by the farm to receive a paper application. Applications can be turned in anytime during business hours at our Roadside Market. Online applications can be completed anytime, at your convenience. Applications and Payment are due by November, 1st TO PARTICIPATE IN WEEK #1.

We will gladly prorate your subscription ($30 PER WEEK). This offer is based on availability and what your desired start week would be. Please complete the Google Form below to apply. Then follow the directions to contact Jessica for your subscription confirmation.

HOW DO I MAKE MY PAYMENT?

We accept cash, check, or credit card for payment. Stop by our Roadside Market to complete payment (all payments mentioned are accepted at the Roadside Market). Please notify the staff if you are paying for your CSA subscription, and have completed the application online.

*REMEMBER: Full Payment is Due Friday, November 1st TO PARTICIPATE IN WEEK #1.

WHY OUR CSA?

We pride ourselves in providing exceptional, seasonally grown produce. Our efforts will translate to you enjoying wonderful salads, savory dishes, and crunchy snacks throughout the winter (just to name a few). Our notable customer service is not something we wrestle to provide, yet more so our focus when it comes to our operation. When we create our weekly box MENU all things go into consideration, like what’s plentiful, what holiday is near, what pairs well, what will keep well, what was in the previous weeks’ box, and how would our members enjoy it. The boxes are then carefully curated and packaged for you to enjoy.

The membership comes with wonderful recipes, updates, and farm news via a weekly emailed newsletter. We also offer an online store for you to purchase additional select food items that our Roadside Market provides. These items can be added to your weekly box, once our Roadside Market is closed for the season. More online store information will be offered in your weekly newsletter.

Our farming practices include sustainable strategies to help protect our land, environment, and quality of life for our families, employees, and community.
